Late September and Early October often comes with unpredictable weather here in Missouri. For Lauren and Blake, this turned out to be an amazing thing! We decided to risk a thunderstorm forecast and headed to the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area to spend the evening taking some portraits. What started out as cool, overcast weather in the pine tree forest became surprisingly sunny as we moved to the fields! The unique combination of a storm rolling in with the bright sun still out created one of the most rare instances of a rainbow that I have ever seen. The bright colors were perfectly highlighted by the backdrop of the dark clouds! As the sun went down and the rainbow started to fade, we took a couple final portraits as the sky turned to a deep pink sunset.
